This is a pebbled beach that offers an exceptional view of the small green island known as Marathonisi that stands out of the deep blue Ionian Sea. Close by is the famous ancient harbor “Nafthis”. In the same area there is the “Well of Herodotus”, known by reference of the Greek historian Herodotus. According to antiquity, this well spurt out water and tar from the depths of the earth.
From the graphic harbor small boats make round trips to Laganas Bay, Marathonisi and Marathias beach.

One of the most remarkable sights are the caves of Keri with the bright green waters and the magnificent Kamares of Marathia-two arches formed by huge rocks in the sea from which small boats pass underneath and offer visitors a great experience. Keri is a hot spot for scuba divers who will find all they need at the two centers that operate in the area of Keri.

Several taverns with traditional delicacies will be found both in the village and near the beach.
